Online education is just one of the many ways we integrate flexible options into our programs of study. Online learning is versatile and convenient, helping students balance school, work, or family while preparing for a successful future.
High school students also have the option to enroll in online classes at FHTC.
Online classes are delivered through Moodle, a learning management system that is easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile devices. Students are able to access courses and assignments around the clock, from a PC, Mac, laptop, tablet or smartphone, wherever Internet access is available. Several class options and programs include a “hybrid” feature; courses are a mix of face-to-face class time and online instruction.
Instructors are available by phone, e-mail, and online discussion boards throughout the duration of each class. Students can also connect to their instructors through Zoom sessions. The online classroom experience is enhanced by maintaining a strong line of communication with instructors and classmates through discussion threads and chat features.
