This course combines advanced lifesaving techniques, hospital clinical rotations, and field internship hours to prepare students for AEMT-level patient care. Course training also includes managing cardiopulmonary arrest, acute arrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. Course instruction, simulated cases, and hands-on experience, will allow students to develop critical assessment, treatment, and clinical decision-making skills. Successful completion of AEMT I and AEMT II curriculum prepares students for Kansas and NREMT AEMT certification and effective practice as an AEMT. PREREQUISITE: EMS 200 Advanced EMT I
