Adult Education Center

It’s never too late

Obtain your high school diploma, learn English, develop job skills or discover a new career path. The Adult Education Center offers programs for GED preparation, English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education that help you reach your goals.

To sign up for our courses:

1. Call the Adult Education Center at 620-343-4630.
2. Make an appointment for testing and to enroll.
3. Visit the Adult Education Center at 620 Constitution Street, Emporia, Kansas.

GED Program

We offer full preparation for the GED test. Passing the GED exam will result in obtaining a Kansas State High School Diploma.

English as a Second Language Program

Adults in our English as a Second Language program practice English in a variety of ways, which helps them connect new knowledge with what they already know and apply it to real-life situations.

Los estudiantes de Inglés como Segundo Lenguaje se enfocan en entender Inglés a través de una variedad de actividades, la cual incluye lectura, escritura y conversación.

Adult Basic Education Program

Adult Basic Education skills, along with reading, writing and math, are taught to assist students with entry into GED classes and/or post-secondary education, and Job preparation.
