This class will explore techniques to improve your digital video productions including workflow, shooting, and non-linear editing techniques. Preproduction tasks such as brainstorming, working with clients, and storyboarding will be practiced. Students will be introduced to new equipment including, dollies, jibs, glide-cams, DSLR cameras for video, and external monitors. Students will experiment by shooting “short films” to improve their storytelling abilities and shooting techniques. A marketing-based video will be produced for a “real-world” client as a team project for the semester.
