Admissions Steps

Here’s what you need to know for admission to FHTC. If you haven’t already, schedule a campus visit or sign up for one of our Wrangler Rally dates.

1. Apply for Admission

Ready for the next step after learning about FHTC and its majors?

2. Testing Requirements

Take a placement test or send us your test scores or transcripts to confirm they will meet admission requirements for your program of choice.

3. Send Your Education Records

Have all your official high school and college transcripts sent to:

4. Apply for Scholarships and Student Aid

The deadline to apply for FHTC scholarships is March 1 before the fall semester. Be sure and complete the FASFA form to determine eligibility for federal financial aid.

5. Enroll in Classes

Once accepted to FHTC, make an appointment to discuss your degree plan, enroll in classes, and pay the non-refundable enrollment deposit of $100 to reserve your spot in the program. Call 620-343-4600 ext. 2 or email admissions@fhtc.edu to schedule your enrollment appointment.

Non-U.S. Citizens must meet acceptable citizenship criteria prior to seeking admission. Documentation must be one of the following: Alien Registration Card, Passport Stamped “Processed for 1-551,” or an I-94 card, Temporary Resident Card, or Arrival-Departure Record. Please refer to the FHTC Catalog for more detailed information regarding citizenship criteria. All non-U.S. citizens are required to pass the English Proficiency Exam.

Home-schooled students must provide a transcript with the school name and location, courses with credits and grades, graduation date and the school administrator’s signature. The student’s name and date of birth must also be included.

6. Pay for Classes

Cash and credit accepted and online payment plans are available. Please note, account balances are due (or payment arrangements made) before the first day of the semester.

7. Purchase Textbooks

Order your books online at FHTC’s virtual bookstore, fhtc.ecampus.com
